This girl is naming her little girl my baby name. I know baby names aren't commodities that can be owned but I'm just a little bit sad. My baby Fern has had her name for years and I was kind of hoping that the name would remain unused until this girl right here (me) could pop one out. Just for the baby-naming record - my little girl (if I ever have one) will be called Fern. It's such a perfect name - in my eyes of course. But it reminds me of everything I'd want in a name - it's simple, it's of the earth, it's something beautiful, it's the name of a character from a good book (Charlotte's Web), it sounds nice when spoken, and it is unique. Hopefully I'll have a baby love Fern to call my own some day.
P.S. Apparently I have a lot of time on my hands today perusing the internet and posting everything I see. I promise I won't post anything else....today. I'm going to make albondigas soup now.
